Sam Marcus

She/Her
Director of Services

With over 18 years of experience, Sam has dedicated her career to supporting children and young people with their growth, development and well-being. In 2007, Sam started as a Programme Assistant at Power2 and through dedication and passion, has now advanced to Director of Services.

As Director of Services, Sam manages a team of more than 50 delivery staff. She also oversees the full spectrum of operations, working closely with all functions within the organisation to ensure our programmes are effective, efficient and far-reaching.

One of her key responsibilities is managing relationships with schools and external organisations that refer young people to our programmes. She regularly collaborates with our fundraising team to build strong partnerships with schools and other stakeholders.

Sam also supports the Programme Development Manager with enhancing and scaling our offerings, ensuring they remain impactful and responsive to the evolving needs of our communities.

In her spare time, Sam enjoys running and travelling.

When I was growing up, I faced constant challenges, and I struggled to find my place. I acted out, disrupted classes and became disengaged. I left school without gaining any qualifications, and was in contact with both children’s social care and the criminal justice system.

“Eventually, I started working in a secondary school supporting young people who were just like me. It was through this role that I connected with Power2 and began delivering the Teens and Toddlers programme. Teens and Toddlers clicked with me instantly. It was empowering – for the young people, and for me.”

10 years later, I am now the Director of Services at Power2. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made in supporting young people. I truly believe in empowering the next generation.
