In 2011, Amira Shariif Ali completed the Teens and Toddlers programme at a school in South London. Amira is now our Youth Voice Champion on our Board of Trustees. Given her first-hand experience, she firmly believes that every school can benefit from Power2’s programmes.
Currently, Amira supports the operations of the House of Commons Chamber. Outside of this role, she is passionate about creating and actively maintaining a work culture that values everyone. She is a member of the organisation’s Culture and Values Group and a Voice Champion. In addition, Amira voluntarily hosts her organisation’s work experience students including those from the Social Mobility Foundation.
Having completed the Teens and Toddlers programme 10 years ago, and Power2 having such a positive impact on my life, I couldn’t be any prouder to have been chosen as a Trustee. I love the wider impact Power2 can have on young people. Power2 reacts quickly to changing circumstances which showed in the extra support they provided for young people during the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly on mental wellbeing.
I’m excited to work alongside others who also believe in the work of Power2, to deliver real results to improve the lives of young people.
