Power2 Advance

The programme helps young people to gain vital work-related skills, an understanding of workplace culture and enhance their interpersonal skills so that they can succeed in future opportunities.

About Power2 Advance

Power2 Advance is a 16-week programme for young people aged 14-17 at risk of becoming not in education, employment or training (NEET).

Students undergo 14 hours of work experience in a local nursery or primary school, becoming a mentor and role model to a younger child and supporting their learning and development. They also take part in reflective group learning sessions which help young people to gain vital work-related skills, an understanding of workplace culture and enhance their interpersonal skills so that they can succeed in future opportunities.

Successful completion of the programme means young people achieve a nationally recognised NCFE Level 1 qualification in Interpersonal Skills.
