Our external evaluations

Our work is grounded in evidence, shaped by lived experience and evaluated robustly to ensure we’re delivering real impact.

Improving confidence and self-efficacy

We’re proud to share the findings of a new independent evaluation of our group programme Power2 Thrive, conducted by Stories of Change and funded by the Prudence Trust.

The evaluation explored how the programme is experienced by young people, what elements create change, who it works for and whether we’re measuring the right things.

Reducing school exclusions

Research by the University of Sunderland evaluated the experiences of children, young people and families participating in a RootED intervention to reduce school exclusions. It found that the Power2 intervention established multiple protective factors to accessing and surviving mainstream school.

Improving wellbeing and reducing school avoidance

This report by Pro Bono Economics provided a value for money assessment of Power2 Rediscover. It draws on a 2024 evaluation by the #BeeWell team at the University of Manchester and finds Power2 Rediscover could be improving wellbeing by the equivalent of 1.2 life satisfaction points.

Evaluation of the Power2 Rediscover pilot 2020-21

Power2 Rediscover was introduced in September 2020 as a response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and successive lockdowns on the vulnerable young people Power2 works with. This report by Renaisi evaluated the success of the programme, which is now a core part of our offer.
