Having Mark as my mentor was the best thing in my life.

Neesha entered the care system at just 10 years old. At 18, she joined our Power2 Advance programme for care-experienced young people, where she met Mark, her Programme Lead.

For the first time in her life, Neesha found someone who truly listened to her without judgment, offering the support and encouragement she had long been missing.

Today, Neesha works with us as a Programme Assistant, using her personal experiences to guide young people. We caught up with Neesha to learn more about growing up in care, her experience on Power2 Advance and her role at Power2.

Endorsements

Both the young people and their school staff commented on an improvement in their self-confidence and most notably 100% of the young people reported an increased enjoyment of learning and said that they would recommend the programme to other young people.

Virtual School Headteacher

We are absolutely overjoyed with the success of the 16-week programme hosted by Power2 for our care leavers. The experience has been transformative. Our young participants, many of whom were NEET or low in confidence, have gained invaluable skills and confidence for the future. Thank you, Power2, for making a lasting impact!
