About us News and media News A Year of Power2 Rediscover Power2 Rediscover was developed following an April 2020 survey and interviews with nearly 600 young people, and was adapted alongside them and their teachers in real time. Drawing on established methods and concepts from Teens and Toddlers, Power2’s new programme provides intensive one-to-one support to young people to help them improve their wellbeing and re-engage in education– recognising that the pandemic has had a major impact on some of the most vulnerable young people. We are delighted that positive changes to young participants’ mental wellbeing, confidence, aspiration, motivation and relationships are as planned for when we designed the programme. We are also delighted that 95% of teachers think the programme is ‘excellent or good’ and 100% of young participants would recommend it to others. Our Power2 facilitators are an important factor in generating these changes for young people: Power2 has been complimented on an ability to adapt right at the start of the pandemic and meet specific needs quickly, and on our resilience. The teachers who referred young people to Power2 Rediscover told us: We will be publishing a full report of the pilot year of Power2 Rediscover in the autumn. Uptake for Power2 Rediscover has far exceeded expectations. If you are in a position to invest in young people’s futures by providing subsidies to the many schools who have significant numbers of young people they wish to refer to the programme, please get in touch here.
