  1. Support us

Volunteer

Over the past few years, the rapid growth of the charity has caused a great deal of change. On this journey we have had a great deal of help from very talented individuals and organisations. The continued growth of the charity has unearthed further volunteering opportunities and we would be excited to hear from people who can

1. Help us to grow our Young Leaders programme

or

2. Help us to scale the charity

As more and more young people complete Teens and Toddlers programmes, our Young Leaders programme continues to grow. As a result, they are in increasing need of support. We are also keen to improve the resources available to the Young leaders Group to further enable positive change for our graduates.

You can help us to do this in one of two ways:

1. Share your personal expertise: If you have expertise in youth work, education, strategy, marketing, digital, social or design, or if you have some great ideas on how to develop a growing charity.

2. Pathways into work: When we asked our graduates what they wanted to get out of the Young leaders Group, 74% wanted training or work placements to help them get the job they want, and 57% requested “skills to understand work opportunities and how to succeed”. We have responded by focusing on establishing and developing partnerships to support pathways into work. Partners have included Merlin Entertainments, AMD, Weil Gotshal & Manges, Towerbridge, Costa Coffee, Roast Restaurant, Egon Zhender, Brokerage City Link, PwC, Arc and Deutsche Bank.

To support our growth, we are looking for two key types of support: Budget Relieving Support and Operational Expertise

1. Budget Relieving Opportunities

  • HR Support
  • Legal Support
  • Printing
  • Catering
  • PR support
  • Meetings Rooms
  • Celebration event venues
  • Travel costs
  • Accommodation costs
  • IT Equipment
  • Mobile phones

2. Opportunities to share operational expertise

  • Marcomms strategy/expertise
  • Market Research
  • Advertising services
  • Advertorial
  • Event Management
  • Project Management
  • Media Training
  • Software Consultancy
  • Data management and processing
  • Speakers for events
  • Web development

Power2 Look Back to the Future

2020 has been a difficult year for everyone. But we've decided to focus on the fantastic things the young people we work with have achieved, despite all the challenges the pandemic has thrown at them.

  • “I’m so grateful to be given the chance to make a difference to all the young people like me in Greater Manchester.

“I’m so grateful to be given the chance to make a difference to all the young people like me in Greater Manchester."

In the last year, despite everything that's been happening, Hafsah (15,) has amazed everyone at Power2 with what she has achieved. She embodies exactly we're trying to do, from engaging in youth social action, to making marginalised voices heard and giving back to her community. A true 'advocate for young women everywhere.'
