Help us to unlock our potential

At Power2, we believe there is no greater cost to society than unfulfilled potential. In order to ensure all young people have the opportunity to succeed in this modern, changing economy, all sectors must come together to empower and engage young people.

Power2’s corporate partnerships are the bedrock of our innovation and growth. Whether through donations, employee volunteering opportunities, or strategic funding, we have a strong track record of working in partnership with corporates of all sizes, leaving us confident in our ability to create a mutually beneficial and bespoke partnership with any organisation.

We would also like to thank our Corporate Development Board (CDB) for their time and support.

The CDB was launched earlier in 2019 and comprises an incredible group of senior business leaders all working together to utilise their corporate and city networks to increase engagement with Power2, drive growth through new opportunities and share our story. Reena Gogna, Partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP chairs the CDB and is joined by Marc St John – Chair of Power2’s Board of Trustees & Former Partner at CVC, along with five other senior representatives from a variety of sectors. The current membership also includes Apax Partners (Principal and Head of Capital Markets in Europe), CVC (Managing Director, Global Head of Operations and Fund Administration), Société Générale (Director, TMT Finance), Nomura (Sole Head of Financial Sponsors) and Sherwood Consulting (Founder).

If you are interested in our Corporate Development Board and would like more information, please do get in touch (see contact details below).

Employee volunteering opportunities and staff development

Our Young Leaders programme is built on engagement with corporate partners across a diverse range of sectors, from legal and financial services, to technology, and construction; the programme is designed to give young people a varied and complete experience to support them on their journey to independence and adulthood.

Workshops become skills-based volunteering opportunities for corporate employees across London and the North West of England, who are able to support, or lead delivery, always alongside a Power2 trainer. Employees each bring a valuable set of skills and experiences to share with our young people, helping them to explore different paths and unlock their full potential.

Examples of engagement activities include:

  • A 6-month Mentoring Academy: currently run through Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and CVC (previously supported by PwC, Deutsche Bank, and Ashberg);
  • Negotiation, personal development and financial management workshops with CVC and Weil
  • British Exploring Society expeditions to Finland and Dartmoor
  • ‘Come Dine With Us’ cooking and enterprise workshop
  • London Bubble Theatre Drama/Performance workshop
  • A careers day with the BBC at Media City, Salford
  • A Personal Aspirations Workshop at Deloitte
  • CV building and mock interviews with Investec
  • Community workshops designing a float for Manchester Pride

Our team has a background in some of the UK’s most admired charity brands, as well as a wealth of experience from the private sector. Our partners trust us to push the boundaries of what a charity is capable of; this challenge, which requires us to be well run and innovative, is one we embrace.
