Gemma Carroll has over a decade of experience in the charity sector, working primarily in public affairs, political campaigning and communications. Most recently she was public affairs manager at the NSPCC. Here, she led efforts to lobby government for crucial changes to better protect children from abuse and prevent it from happening. Prior to that she worked for a number of years at Anti-Slavery International raising the profile of human trafficking in the UK and leading campaigns to improve the rights of trafficking survivors. She has always worked closely with young people who have experienced abuse and human trafficking to help empower them to speak out and campaign for change. Gemma has also been a Trustee of a small charity supporting disadvantaged children in Ecuador where she spent a year volunteering. She has two young children.
