“I cannot express how impressed we are with both the structure and organisation of the course itself and with the fantastic way the sessions are delivered.”


Amy Haslam, one of the teachers at Manchester Hospital School, spoke to us about the difference the programme has made to her pupils whose behaviour, focus or confidence in lessons is often impacted by the difficulties they’re experiencing with their physical or mental health.

“The Teens and Toddlers course has had a huge impact on our pupils and their families. From the outset many of our more anxious pupils were uncertain about the course and if they wanted to be involved, but the sessions had an immediate and positive effect."


“Pupils who struggle to engage in other lessons and sessions at school are benefitting so much; they are enjoying the Teens and Toddlers sessions and really getting involved. One pupil who has been going through a particularly difficult time at the moment has specifically asked to come into school for the sessions; even when it was suggested they take time off. This pupil smiles and laughs when taking part and this is often the only time they do in the whole day. Their mother told me that the course is the only thing her child has said anything positive about in weeks; it means so much to the both of them.

“Other pupils who are quiet and withdrawn have become more vocal and active; there is also a clear increase in their self-awareness of how they communicate and the effect this has on those around them.


“At a recent parents evening I received nothing but positive responses from parents and carers, about the course, and the feedback they were getting about it from their child… Parents expressed how positive their child was when telling them about the sessions; a really rare thing for many of these families.

“Other positive comments have been about how wonderful it is that the pupil is taking part in something that they would never have considered before; it has not only increased their confidence but also opened up new opportunities for them.
