The last couple of years have been difficult for everyone. But in continuing to deliver our programmes virtually during successive lockdowns, we saw first-hand how the pandemic has disproportionately affected the young people who were already facing multiple disadvantages.
Mental health issues, difficult home lives, lack of resources and other challenges all intensified. Many were left feeling more isolated, more vulnerable and more worried about falling further behind.
As we slowly emerge from the pandemic, we are working with young people to build their self-esteem, re-engage them with school and empower them to make a positive difference to their lives and the lives of others. This page is a testament to what our programme participants achieved in 2020-21 with our support and a testament to our belief that young people’s resilience, enterprise and insights are a vital part of building a better post-pandemic world.
